BIO

Brianna Carter is a dancer, singer, calligrapher, and journalist from Newport, RI. Growing up around family members with various musical talents, Brianna naturally developed a passion for singing, writing, and dancing. She has had the opportunity to open for Cameo, Lisa Lisa, Stevie B., The Sugarhill Gang, and The Rocksteady Crew. She has also trained with several dancers and choreographers who have worked with Janet Jackson through the JanFam: The Movement workshops, including Tina Landon and Rob Vinson. Besides performing, her fondest moments are teaching and mentoring others.
 
Brianna has taught at numerous dance studios and public schools, as well as Salve Regina University. While teaching, Brianna earned an MBA in Global Business Leadership with a Marketing concentration from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. 

 

Over the years, Brianna has been featured in the Newport Daily News, Providence Journal, SALVEtoday, and Report from Newport, which has documented Brianna’s achievements, performances, and dedication to her community. As a journalist, Brianna has contributed articles to Salve's Report from Newport, the Culver City News, and the Blue Pacific News of Culver City, CA, and Obvious Magazine, which can be found on the Press page. Now residing in Los Angeles, Brianna continues to train and write. She also runs a calligraphy and engraving business, Briinspired Designs, specializing in handcrafted designs for gifts, keepsake items, and special events.
